First Entry

I am very excited about the upcoming study abroad program in Ilmenau. I am looking forward to spending time learning and becoming more familiar with German culture. Not only will this be my first time oversea's, but it will also my first time leaving the country and I couldn't be more excited. Germany is a country that is rich in history and this is a rare opportunity that I had just to take advantage of. I am also looking forward to seeing the similarities and differences between German and American cultures.

Although I am very excited about the program, I am a bit anxious about the language portion. I have been studying as much as my schedule allows, but I have only had one year of German courses and may be a bit behind the others in my language skills. While I am anxious, I have high expectations for the outcome of this program. I intend on furthering my language skills as well as having a much better understanding of the German way of life. No amount of research can equal an experience like this and I am very excited about traveling to Ilmenau.
